In the early 1960's the Paria Movie Set was built for the movie "Sergeants Three."  It also provided settings for the television series "Death Valley Days" and "Gunsmoke."  The movie "Outlaw Jose Wales was the last movie filmed at the original Paria Movie Set.

Due to many years of harsh weather and flash floods undercutting the buildings, the Movie Set had to be dismantled.

In 1999 Robert Houston of Kanab spear- headed the Paria Movie Set Reconstruction Project.  About 75 Volunteers & BLM Employees came together and worked long hard hours dismantling this Western Legend.

Reconstruction began in 2000 when 3 exact replicas were placed on site out of the flood plane.  The buildings gave visitors from all over the world a chance to go back in time and remember when Our Western Heroes made some of the greatest Movies of all time.

On August 25, 2006 arsonists destroyed the buildings that the community had worked so hard to preserve.

Dave DeVooght, along with    Volunteers, BLM Employees, the Community and Western Movie Enthusiasts are coming together to recreate "Little Hollywood's"
" Paria Movie Set."
